"Simbhu and Trisha Wanted to listen to the story" says Gowtham Menon
Vinnai Thandi Varuvaaya crew will be proceeding to Malta Islands. Gowtham Menon who is directing this film which has Simbhu and Trisha in the lead said,” 70% of the shooting of this film is over.
Simbhu had keen interest in acting under my direction. I also thought I should direct a film with him in the lead. So both our interests coincided, hence we joined hands. In the initial stages we made publicity with the stills of the pairs of old films.
But these stills featured Simbhu and Trisha. This was done to emphasize that this film is a romantic film. Trisha had said that she accepted the role even without listening to the story. In fact Simbhu and Trisha gave their call sheet without listening to the story. But it was my duty to narrate the story. The shooting commenced only after the story was narrated to them.
A R Rahaman has composed the music for the four songs. Two songs have already had been picturized. The remaining two songs are to be shot in Malta Islands in Sicily. The shooting is to take place for 12 days there.
So far only the Hollywood film Gladiator was shot in this island. After this only Vinnai Thandi Varuvaaya is being shot there. This film will be released during the month of August. I am also directing a film which is yet to be titled. 30% of the shooting of this film is over.”
